Our Speakers:

Steve Vierra started his viticultural career in 1996 while an undergrad student at Cal Poly. He graduated in 1999 with a degree in soil science, and joined the Vineyard Professional Services company. While there, he became a Certified Professional Soil Scientist and designed and installed a number of well-renowned Paso Robes vineyards. His vintage experience spans over 2 decades, including time in New Zealand, Chile and Australia.

Cristy Christie has been producing commercial vermicompost in Paso Robles since 2010. Her focus is on feeding the worms a high quality feedstock to produce a biologically active compost with diverse micro-organisms for small farms and vineyards on the Central Coast. Black Diamond Vermicompost was chosen for current research growing crops using lunar soil for future space exploration.
